VIDEO: Police release body cam footage of Nile car lot crash
The suspect in a chase that led police from Austintown to Niles and resulted in a car crashing into a car lot has pled not guilty to his charges.
According to court records, 39-year-old Corey Heinselman appeared in Mahoning County Court in Austintown on Monday where he pled not guilty to criminal charges of failure to comply and resisting arrest, as well as traffic charges of OVI, hit skip and driving with a suspended license.
His bond was set at $2,500 cash surety.
Heinselman is accused of leading officers on a chase from Austintown all the way to Niles where he crashed into a car lot damaging several vehicles in the process.
Police say the vehicle Heinselman was driving belonged to his cousin and was taken without permission.
According to Mahoning County Court records, Heinselman pled guilty to a reduced charge of Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle and was sentenced to 180 days in jail on this charge.
