A new health and wellness CBD store that doesn't require a medical card has opened in Struthers.

J&R Releaf sells CBD, THCA, Delta-8 and Delta-9 products. Under Ohio law, any hemp products containing less than 0.3% percent of THC are legal and do not require a medical card.  

The owners Jenn and Ray Greenwood said the biggest concern customers come in to get help with is sleep issues.

“We have a lady came in, she has really bad neuropathy and she went to her doctor in Cleveland Clinic and they told her, ‘absolutely try it, see if it helps you’,” Jenn said about their products. “She came in, she has purchased three bottles so far because she said she’s like a new person on it.”

The store does not offer medical marijuana or recreational sales. Jenn explained once the state sets more guidelines they plan to open a dispensary in the back of their store.

“Our goal is basically to unite everybody that uses the cannabis and hemp and have them feel more comfortable coming in and shopping for our products,” Jenn said. 

J&R Releaf is located at 856 Youngstown-Poland Road in Struthers. They are open Monday - Friday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday’s 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
