One person was injured after crashing into a pole early Sunday morning on Youngstown's south side.

It was just one of multiple crashes that happened throughout the south side of the city throughout the morning.

The accident happened on Chicago Avenue near Hillman Street just before 4:00 A.M.  The driver somehow crashed into a pole knocking wires across the road and ended up in the front yard of a home.  The driver was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries and power was knocked out for some customers in that area.  It's expected to be restored sometime Sunday morning.

Another crash happened shortly after nearby on Tampa Avenue right off of East Indianola Avenue.  One car crashed into a pole snapping it in half bringing wires down.

No one was hurt, but power was also knocked out for some customers in that surrounding area.  Crews are on scene and are working to restore power.
