Former Steelers linebacker Andy Russell passes away
Russell played for the Steelers in 1963 and from 1966 - 1976

Former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Andy Russell died at age 82.
He was a two time Super Bowl champion and started 162 games in 1963 and from 1966-1976. He missed the 1964-1965 season due to military service.
Russell played along side Jack Ham & Jack Lambert and made his first Pro Bowl in 1968.
He was the team MVP on 1971 and made seven pro bowl appearances.
