Motorists may have noticed a heavy police presence on and around the turnpike in Lordstown earlier today.
That's because a hog, estimated to weigh more than 400 pounds, was on the loose in the area.
Police believed the hog fell off the truck onto the turnpike after it was bought at an auction. It then ran into the woods nearby.
Ohio State Highway Patrol, North Jackson Police, and North Jackson Fire all worked to round the animal up safely.
Officials say it suffered minor injuries consistent with falling out of a truck.
Tomorrow it will be dropped off at Rebel Rescue Ranch in Berlin Center.
