Macy's has announced that it will be closing about 150 stores nationwide according to reports from the Associated Press. 21 News has reached out to both Mahoning Valley Macy's locations to see if either will be affected.

Southern Park Mall General Manager Brian Gabbert tells 21 News that the location inside the Southern Park Mall in Boardman is "definitely not" affected by this announcement at this time.

Meanwhile, Cafaro Company spokesperson Joe Bell tells 21 News he does not know whether or not the location in the Eastwood Mall in Niles will be affected and has not heard anything confirming nor denying it will be.

21 News has also reached out to Macy's for comment and are waiting to hear back.
