Two suspects are behind bars after police say they broke into a Youngstown home and stole nearly $300 in cash Monday night.

According to a police report, officers were dispatched to a home on Drummond Avenue shortly before 9:00 p.m. in reference to a fight.

Upon arrival, police spoke to the tenant who told officers he had left a few hours prior and when he came home, two people, later identified as 37-year-old Dana Watson and 31-year-old Justin Stewart inside going through his cabinets.

Police say when the tenant asked what was going on, the two claimed they were sent by the property management company that owns the home to do work on it.

According to the report, the tenant told the two to sit on the couch, but Watson instead grabbed approximately $300 from the counter and fled the scene. Police say Watson also had a handgun at the time.

The tenant told police that Stewart then confessed to him that he and Watson entered through a window to steal from the home and that he was forced by Watson to enter the house at gunpoint with Watson allegedly threatening to kill him if he moved.

Police arrested Stewart at the scene and shortly afterwards received a phone call from Watson admitting that he was at the property. Both were arrested and charged with one count each of aggravated burglary.
