Foster mother of dead 5-year-old is jailed

A Columbus woman arrested is now jailed after the body of her 5-year-old child was found in a drainage ditch in that city late last week.
Forty-eight-year-old Pammy Maye was moved on Saturday from a hospital room to the Cuyahoga County Jail where she awaits transfer back to Columbus to face charges.
Maye, who is already charged with kidnapping and child endangering, will also be charged with murder according to Columbus Police.
Police canceled an Amber Alert for Darnell Taylor early Friday after discovering the child's body in a ditch on the Southwest side of Columbus.
The alert was issued by police early Wednesday for Taylor, who was allegedly taken from his home shortly before 4 a.m.
Maye's husband told authorities that his wife told him that she had harmed the child.
Maye was arrested in the Cleveland suburb of Brooklyn still in the nightgown she was last seen wearing.
