Police are investigating after repeated gunshots rang out in three neighborhoods on Youngstown's Southside in 24 hours.

YPD tells 21 News that officers were called out at around 10 p.m. Monday to an address on the 100 block of East Philadelphia Avenue where gunshots were heard.

Police found the rear window of a car was shattered. A woman told officers she was in the car at the time but wasn't injured.

Nine shell casings and one live round were collected as evidence.

About 1 o' clock Monday, on East Evergreen street in Youngstown, 23 year old Allen Pierce May was shot dead.

Police are following leads on the vehicle used in the incident but have no suspects at this time.

Allen was also the brother of ten year old Persayus Davis-May, who was shot and killed back in 2021 during a drive-by. Her case remains unsolved.

Their mother, Christina May, telling 21 News Reporter Sydney Canty, she's trying to get the rest of her children out of this city.

The night before, half a dozen shots were fired into a woman's home on the 1100 block of Inverness.

Bullets struck a living room window, the kitchen, and the bedrooms. One of the shots struck a bed frame where one of the woman's teenage children was sitting.

According to the police report, the suspect in the case is a 19-year-old man wanted for a December murder.

Less than three hours after that shooting, people living less than a mile away on the 800 block of Marmion Avenue reported shots fired.

As officers arrived, they saw two people in dark clothing running away from the neighborhood.

Bullets struck no homes. However, police say they found 35 shell casings on the ground.

There's no word on whether police believe the incidents are related.
