Charges against a Youngstown man in the drowning of a two-year-old girl last year have been dropped.

According to the Mahoning County Court, the case against 31-year-old Albert Boykin was dropped because they are not the parent or guardian of the child that drowned.

There was not sufficient enough evidence to proceed with the criminal hearing.

Boykin had a warrant out for his arrest with a charge of child endangering, which stems from an incident that occurred at a home on Ridgelawn Avenue on September 29 when two-year-old Londyn Cayson drowned in a swimming pool.

Police say Cayson and another young child were playing in the yard when a woman, who police only identified as the cousin of one of the Cayson's parents was watching her.

According to police, Cayson's guardian stepped away for about five minutes to talk with a relative and soon noticed that Cayson was missing. That's when she was found floating in a swimming pool.

Meanwhile, Adrianne Lynn Hudson, 31, was indicted Thursday on charges related to the drowning.

Hudson was watching a family member's child and was talking to another relative when she noticed the child was missing.
