A Youngstown man is currently behind bars after police say he beat a pregnant woman with seven children present in a Boardman apartment.

According to a police report from Boardman PD, officers were dispatched to an apartment just before 8:00 p.m. Tuesday after a neighbor called in reference to an escalating argument.

While en route, police received a second call from the female victim in that argument telling officers that she was just in a physical altercation with the father of her children and that he stole her vehicle.

Upon arrival, police spoke to the victim who told officers that she was seven months pregnant and was struck several times in the stomach and that she could no longer feel her child moving.

Police say when the victim was checked out at the hospital, it was determined that her unborn child was still in good health.

The victim told police that the suspect, identified as 25-year-old Rayvon Parker came to her apartment to visit his children. Police say Parker became agitated "out of nowhere" and began to verbally argue with the victim.

Police say Parker kicked the victim several times in the stomach, followed by dragging her by her hair and punching her in the face multiple times before stealing the vehicle.

Police say pieces of the victim's hair were found scattered throughout the apartment and that the victim's scalp was bald on the lower left side. Police also say there were seven children present in the apartment during the fight under the age of five.

The next day, police were called back to the apartment in response to reports that Parker had returned. Police say when they tried to arrest him, he assaulted officers and fled the scene initiating a foot pursuit.

According to the report, Parker was still not complying with officers when they caught up to him, eventually leading to him being tased.

Parker was booked in the Mahoning County Jail and is facing numerous charges including aggravated burglary, two counts of felonious assault, robbery, having weapons under disability, resisting arrest, assault, receiving stolen property, obstructing official business and domestic violence.
