ODOT warns of slippery road conditions in Valley

Early Tuesday morning commuters are finding slippery conditions on some highways in the Valley.

There have been several reports of vehicles sliding off the roads as of 5:30 a.m.

The Ohio Department of Transportation has issued weather hazard advisories, as air temperatures hovered just above freezing.

ODOT notes that there could be icy conditions along Interstate 80 in Hubbard, as well as snowy and slippery road surfaces on I-80 in Lake Milton and along 711 in Girard.

Members of the 21 News team reported slippery conditions along Interstate 680.  Authorities were investigating a report of a car into a guardrail.

According to the Youngstown Street Department's interactive map, three snow removal trucks were out as of 6 a.m.

As of 6 a.m., ODOT had 56 snow removal trucks salting and plowing valley roads:

As if 6 a.m. there were no alerts on the Ohio Turnpike.

PennDOT had more than a dozen trucks working on Mercer County roads.

In Pennsylvania, the following vehicle restrictions will go into place at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday:
