The passage of a cold front led to morning snow showers around the area, but it will also allow for a very chilly Thursday afternoon. Temperatures will remain below freezing for the rest of the day, with wind chill values closer to the 20-degree mark.

Clouds will decrease during the afternoon, ahead of a mainly clear and cool Thursday night. We will remain dry on Friday, with high pressure sliding over the region. Quiet weather will not last for long; however, an area of low pressure will move to our south and up the east coast. A period of snow will likely occur Saturday afternoon and evening before tapering off overnight.

Another round of snow showers will be possible during the day on Sunday. Snowfall accumulations for the weekend will be on the lighter side, with heavier snow off to our east. Travel could still be tricky late Saturday or early Sunday.

Another storm system will move into the region on Tuesday. Precipitation could start as a mix of rain and snow before transitioning into all rain for the afternoon. Snow showers could arrive on the back end of the storm on Wednesday.
