Bundle up Thursday, weekend snow update

In the wake of some overnight snow showers, Valley commuters will need to be on the lookout for some localized slick spots early Thursday. Snow flurries can linger for a time, but cold, gusty winds will be prevalent most of the day. We expect wind chill values to be no higher than the mid-20s during the afternoon.

Friday will start mostly clear and cold, but the afternoon looks decent with mixed sunshine and clouds. Ahead of the following system, clouds will thicken overnight.

A winter storm will graze our viewing area during the first half of the upcoming weekend. Minor snow accumulations will be possible on Saturday afternoon and evening, but higher snow totals will be reserved for areas to our east. Still, some travel inconveniences will be possible locally. Spotty snow flurries are in the forecast for Sunday.
