Bond set at $1.5 million for man accused of murdering wife in Liverpool Township
Bond has been set at $1.5 million for man accused of the murder of his wife in Liverpool Township on Wednesday.
Thirty-four-year-old Christopher Morrison Sr. was arraigned in a Columbiana County court Friday morning on one count of murder. He did not enter any plea on this charge at this point.
Police say Morrison (pictured above) killed his wife, Tiffany Morrison, on Wednesday evening.
It was around 7 p.m. when Liverpool Township police responded to the 1600 Block of Shadyside Avenue in reference to a possible homicide. Upon arrival, officers found a body in a shed in the backyard. BCI was then called to process the scene.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office did an autopsy which revealed her cause of death as a single gunshot wound.
The incident remains under investigation.
Columbiana County Prosecutor Vito Abruzzino extended his condolences to Tiffany's family and loved ones, as well as others in the county who have lost loved ones to violence.
"I feel for you, I feel for your families and I promise we will do everything within our power to a family suffering such a catastrophic loss," Abruzzino said.
Morrison is due back in court on December 28 for a preliminary hearing.
