New restaurant brings live music back to former Downtown Youngstown Suzie's Rine Haus location
Octave Live Music Cafe & Event Center will open its doors on Friday, December 22.
The venue will operate on the properties of two former downtown bars: Suzie's Dogs & Drafts and Rein Haus Bier Hall.
Octave is operated by Youngstown-based investment group HRS Investment Group LLC run by Gary Reynolds Jr., Jamahl Simon and Micah Hall, who are all musicians themselves.
A grand opening celebration will be held at 4 p.m. Guests will be able to experience a cocktail hour as well as a meet and greet with the owners of Octave.
The event will also include a ribbon cutting ceremony, as well as a performance from Youngstown State University based jazz band "The 4 Quarters" followed by a Octave's house band.
Octave serves as a restaurant and music venue, and also houses an event center that can be rented out for parties, meetings, and other special occasions.
A representative for HRS Investment Group previously told 21 News Reynolds, Simon and Hall all specialize in R&B and jazz music, so the venue is heavily focused on those styles, but all musical styles and genres are welcome.
