Sharpsville man facing 315 charges in child pornography case
A Sharpsville man faces 315 charges in a child pornography investigation.
According to court records, 46-year-old Ryan Heath Marinoff is wanted for alleged sex crimes committed in South Pymatuning Township on June 10, 2021.
In addition to 300 counts of child pornography, Marinoff faces 14 counts of disseminating photos of children engaged in sex acts, and one count of criminal use of a communication facility.
According to court records, PSP Northwest Computer Crime Task Force received a tip from Internet Crimes Against Children about a file uploaded to KIK Messenger containing child pornography in December of 2021.
The IP address was traced to Spectrum, who gave officers Marinoff's address in Sharpsville, Pennsylvania.
BCI Northwest Computer Crime Task Force, PSP Mercer and South Pymatuning Police Department served a search warrant at Marinoff's home.
Several devices were seized during the search, and after forensic examination, over 450 images and videos of child pornography, with over 300 images and videos depicting "indecent contact with a child" were located on the devices.
Officers also found that three additional cyber tip reports were associated with Marinoff. Two of the tips were reported for social media usernames associated with Marinoff uploading child pornography to the website, and an additional tip from the KIK Messenger app.
It was also discovered that the Attorney General's Office was investigating Marinoff for the cyber tip report from KIK that child pornography was uploaded to the site on May 11 through May 12.
Marinoff was previously on Megan's Law as a registered sex offender, his duty to register expired in 2015.
No court date had been set for Marinoff as of Thursday.
