Decision 2023: Bruce Shepas elected as new Austintown trustee
Shepas is an Austintown businessman, having owned Austintown Bounce for 17 years. He has also spent seven years as part of the Austintown Zoning Board of Appeals and is the chairman of the 4th of July Parade.

The race to fill the seat of ousted Austintown Township Trustee Steve Kent went to Bruce Shepas.
Shepas is an Austintown businessman, having owned Austintown Bounce for 17 years. He has also spent seven years as part of the Austintown Zoning Board of Appeals and is the chairman of the 4th of July Parade.
He also worked in law enforcement for almost 30 years.
Here's a breakdown of the votes:
Bruce Shepas - 4,307
Eric Vereb - 2,963
Andrea Paventi - 2,620
Warren Bo Pritchard - 1,075
Kent was elected to the seat in 2019 but was ousted in August after being found guilty of tampering with evidence in a trial was involved in.
