New affordable food market to open in Boardman on Nov. 16
People in Boardman will soon have a new option to do their grocery shopping, one that offers food at an affordable price.
Grocery Outlet Bargain Market, which describes itself as an extreme-value grocery retailer, is opening a new location in Boardman on Nov. 16 in the former Toys R Us location at 318 Boardman-Canfield Rd.
The opening will help create more than 20 jobs in the community.
"..By helping open this new Grocery Outlet location, we are able to provide our neighbors with significant savings on quality groceries," said the store's owners Eric and Sarah Senges. "This partnership with Grocery Outlet has given us the ability to grow our business, create new jobs and more importantly, give back to our local community."
In celebration of the grand opening, Eric and Sarah Senges will donate $1,000 to Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley, a nonprofit whose mission is to provide food and emergency shelter to men, women and children experiencing hunger and homelessness.
According to a news release from Grocery Outlet Bargain Market, the store offers the same brands as other outlets but at lower prices.
The outlet recently opened a grocery store in New Castle last month.
