Youngstown murder suspect remains jailed on $750,000 bond
A Youngstown woman remained in the Mahoning County Jail Tuesday on a $750,000 bond after prosecutors changed a charge of voluntary manslaughter to one count of murder.
Thirty-two-year-old Shanay Tyann Jacobs was arraigned via video Monday in Youngstown Municipal Court.
According to police, officers responded to a front yard in the 200 block of S. Schenley Avenue around 5 a.m. after reports of a fight there.
Police say they found a Ford Fusion with a 30-year-old male underneath it. The man was pulled from under the vehicle and emergency personnel began to take life-saving measures, but the man passed away.
The driver of the car, identified as Jacobs was arrested. She faces another court hearing on Monday.
The identity of the victim hasn't been released.
