Police have released the identity of a man whose remains were found by hunters back in January of this year. 

Friday night, the Columbiana County Sheriff's office identified the man, whose body was found in Madison Township near McCormick Run Rd, as Gary Warner.

The Salem Police Department worked to search for Warner after he was first reported missing on March 25th, 2022 at age 67. 

Warner was identified using DNA testing after his body was found by hunters on January 8th, 2023. The cause and time of Warner's death are still unknown.
