A suspect charged with wounding a two-year-old boy in a Warren murder was indicted by a grand jury on Thursday.

According to the indictment, 19-year-old Jamarr Jenkins was indicted on aggravated murder, murder, felonious assault and endangering children. Three out of four of those counts also came with firearm specifications.

The charges stem from a murder that occurred back in March of 2023 when 43-year-old Ruby Sanchez was shot in an apartment on 5th Street SW. Sanchez was transported to the hospital where she later died.

During the incident, a two-year-old boy was shot in the hand according to police. Police described these injuries as "major."

Jenkins is scheduled to be arraigned in the Trumbull County Court of Common Pleas on Tuesday, October 17 at 8:29 a.m.
