The Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corporation (YNDC) and its partners will be announcing a $5 million grant from the United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Urban and Community Forestry Program.

YNDC along with the Mahoning County Land Bank, the City of Youngstown, the Trumbull County Land Bank, Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership, Youngstown CityScape, Healthy Community Partnership, Lola Lewis and other partners will announce the grant on Thursday, October 12 at 10:00 a.m.

The announcement for the $5 million grant will be made at a vacant lot at 1303 Glenwood Avenue. A tree will be planted at this site as part of the ceremony.

More details about this grant are expected to be announced at Thursday's announcement ceremony.
