A registered nurse from Sharpsville, Pennsylvania faces criminal charges alleging that she stole oxycodone and tried to cover up the crime.

The Mahoning County Grand Jury has handed up an indictment charging 39-year-old Krista Oltmann with two counts of theft of drugs and one count of tampering with records.

According to the indictment, Oltmann stole Oxycodone in November of 2021 in Youngstown, and Lorazepam in September of the following year.  The identity of the victim, or victims has been redacted from the indictment.

The Ohio Board of Nursing indefinitely suspended Oltmann’s license to practice last year after it was determined that Oxycodone tablets were missing from Concord Care Center in Cortland where Oltmann worked as a contract nurse.  Nursing board records also state that Oltmann tested positive for oxycodone and oxymorphone, opioids for which Oltmann did not have a prescription.

A warrant has been issued for Oltmann to appear before a judge in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court to answer the charges.
