The Butler Institute of American Art is showcasing Hispanic American artists.

In honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month, the art institute is displaying their collection of artwork by Hispanic American artists.

The show can be seen in the Mesaros Gallery in the lower level of the Butler Institute.

"Spain has given the world so many of its  visual art treasures that art history would be non-recognizable without themes from Diego Velasquez to Picasso and Dali, the contribution of Hispanic artists from around the world can be said to be monumental. The Butler has, over the years, acquired wonderful examples of works of art by artists with Hispanic roots," said Dr. Louis Zona, director of the Butler.

The display is currently open and can be visited until November 26.
