Farmington man arrested after allegedly breaking into golf course clubhouse

A Farmington man is under arrest after allegedly breaking into a golf store and bar at the Reserve Run Golf Course.
According to a report from Beaver Township police, officers were called to the golf course by an employee monitoring security cameras after-hours on Friday night.
Officers from Boardman Police Department and Springfield Police Department also responded to the call to help Beaver Police set up a perimeter around the golf course.
When officers arrived to the scene, they encountered 38-year-old Brandon Welz allegedly carrying a safe out the back of the golf course's clubhouse, which includes a store and bar.
Welz then dropped the safe and attempted to flee before being apprehended by police, according to the report.
The report says that two doors and a window were damaged in the break in.
Welz is charged with safecracking, breaking and entering, possession of criminal tools, and resisting arrest. He is currently being held at the Mahoning County Jail, where he awaits his preliminary hearing at 4pm on Tuesday.
