Authorities in Columbiana County say a missing seven-year-old boy has been found and is safe.

That information came from East Liverpool Police at around noon on Thursday.

According to the county sheriff, Kian Hull had been in the custody of the Columbiana County Department of Jobs and Family Services before being reported as missing earlier.

Investigators say they had safety concerns for the boy, thought to be with his mother, 30-year-old Bria Lane.

A deputy with the Sheriff's Office tells 21 News Hull was found with his mother after being missing for a few days. The deputy says a safety plan was in place to reunite Hull with his mother, but some pertinent information was not communicated to children's services. That plan was then revoked, as children's services no longer felt it was safe to reunite the two.

Despite the safety plan being revoked, the deputy says Lane fled with the child.

21 News is working to learn more about the case.
