A New York man has pleaded guilty to the theft of a Star Wars figure worth nearly three thousand dollars according to a release from the Trumbull County Prosecutor's Office.
Gerardo Sanchez, 32, of Syracuse, New York, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to a fifth-degree theft charge for stealing a cast iron figure from a man who was displaying it at a conference in Liberty Township.
The figure was a solid cast iron replica of a TIE Bomber from Star Wars and was valued at $2,900.
According to prosecutors, Sanchez will be sentenced after a background investigation is conducted by Trumbull County probation officers. The charge carries a possible sentence of between 6 and 12 months in prison.
