As the Youngstown City Schools begin another week with empty classrooms, negotiations are scheduled to resume on Monday with the striking teacher's union.

Talks last week failed to produce an agreement between the Youngstown Education Association and the Board of Education.

YEA spokesman Jim Courim tells 21 News that talks are scheduled to resume Monday at 3 p.m.

The walkout, now on its 14th day, centers around what the union says is contract language about the Academic Distress Commission.
