State Police in Mercer County say careless driving led up to an accident that claimed the life of a 64-year-old Greenville man.

Police say Raymond Fry Jr. died Tuesday night when he lost control of the utility terrain vehicle he was driving along South Barry Street in West Salem Township.

According to police, the CanAm Defender skidded along a gravel-covered road and went airborne after striking an embankment.  The vehicle overturned several times.

Fry, who was not wearing a helmet or seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene according to police.
