Teens report road rage in Leavittsburg, suspect sought
Police in Warren Township are on the lookout for a road rage suspect accused of forcing a car with four teenagers off Leavitt Road.
A warrant has been issued for 43-year-old James Harper who has been charged with four counts of felonious assault.
A teenager told officers that she was driving along Leavitt Road Friday afternoon with three friends when a pickup truck in front of her would repeatedly slow down, finally coming to a full stop in front of her Pontiac.
The driver told police she honked her car’s horn and began to drive past when the truck pulled into her lane, striking her car three or four times, forcing it about 50 feet off the road.
According to the police report, the pickup then drove away on Leavitt Road toward East Market Street.
The report does not say anyone was injured.
