If you've been waiting to get your hands on some tickets to your favorite summer blockbusters but haven't had the spare change, this Sunday is your lucky day!

For just one day, Sunday, August 27th, all ticket prices to all movies in all formats is just $4 at select participating theaters, listed for our viewing area below.

This year's lineup includes "Barbie" and "Oppenheimer," of course, but also newer releases like "Blue Beetle" and "Gran Turismo."

Last year's National Cinema Day was a huge hit, cutting ticket prices to just $3 at a time when few hot releases were on the silver screen and even fewer people in line to watch them. This year, there's many more hits on show, but tickets are a buck more apiece.

With average ticket prices over $11, $4 presents a considerably discount, especially when the offer is used to watch 3D or IMAX movies with higher ticket prices, sometimes over $20. For people looking to watch "Oppenheimer" in 70mm IMAX in New York, their $4 tickets present an 85% discount from their $26.99 full-price tickets.

While tickets will be sold at the special price in theaters, experts recommend purchasing tickets for any special viewings, like 3D, 4DX, or IMAX, in advance of your viewing. Popular movies like "Barbie" and "Oppenheimer" will also likely fill up fast, so make sure to get to the theater early or order your tickets beforehand.
