Youngstown man found not guilty of fatal shooting of 20-year-old male on city's south side
Judge Anthony Donofrio ordered Ballard's trial to proceed after he rejected a plea deal from prosecutors.

A Youngstown man has been found not guilty of all charges related to the murder of a 20-year-old male on the city's south side last year.
Twenty-three-year-old Stevie Ballard who was accused of shooting and killing 20-year-old Darrell Jackson at the corner of Market Street and East Philadelphia Avenue in January of 2022 was found not guilty of one count of aggravated murder and two counts of murder.
Judge Anthony Donofrio ordered Ballard's trial to proceed after he rejected a plea deal from prosecutors.
According to police, Jackson's body was found inside a bullet-riddle car parked on the sidewalk at the scene.
