Bond revoked for Hubbard child rape suspect

Trumbull County Common Pleas Court Judge Ronald Rice on Thursday revoked the bond for a Hubbard man jailed in a child pornography case.
The bond revocation was made at the request of Trumbull County Assistant Prosecutor Gabriel Wildman, who tells 21 News he expects the grand jury to hand down an indictment soon against David Kerester.
Kerester was arrested on Belmont Avenue in Liberty earlier this month. Police say items Kerester had with him indicate that he was attempting to flee the area.
The arrest came three days after Hubbard City Police searched Kerester’s Elizabeth Street Home, which resulted in him being charged with one count of Rape and ten counts relating to possession of child pornography.
According to police, Special Agents from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Deputies from the Mahoning County Sheriff's Office Human Trafficking Task Force K-9 Unit uncovered digital evidence that revealed Kerester had pictures and video files containing child sexual assault material. Police say videos depicting Kerester having sexual conduct with a child were also recovered.
Additional electronic and recording devices seized from the residence will be analyzed, and police say more charges could follow.
The investigation was sparked by a tip sent to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
