Columbiana County’s Brightside Project is organizing an evening of free fun for students in the Salem City School District as they prepare to start classes in the new year.

In a partnership with local churches, businesses & Salem City School Levy, the Salem Community Back2School Bash is set for Monday, August 14, 2023.

Salem students and their families can come out from 5-8 p.m. to see the property where the proposed K-8 campus would be located and enjoy free bounce houses, face painting, games, and food.

There will be free Kona Ice for the kids as well as Brightside’s Sunshine Bus, which travels around Columbiana County bringing necessities to children in need.

The event will be held at Southeast Elementary School, 2200 Merle Rd., Salem.
