Former downtown Suzie's, Rhine Haus locations to transform into live music cafe, event center

Two more properties formerly operated by Christian Rinehart are being transformed into something new for visitors of downtown Youngstown to enjoy.
The former locations of Suzie's Dogs & Drafts and Rhine Haus Bier Hall will both be transformed into The Octave Live Music Cafe & Event Center with the business utilizing both properties.
Youngstown-based investment group HRS Investment Group LLC, run by Gary Reynolds Jr., Jamhal Simon and Micah Hall immediately saw an opportunity to invest into the properties once they became available.
Arielle Hall, a representative for HRS Investment Group tells 21 News all three are musicians who play on a local and even national level. The goal of the business is to bring a venue for "local high-quality entertainment" to downtown Youngstown.
"We're going to have a restaurant side that will feature a stage for all different kind of genres," said Micah Hall. "Our event center side will go where the former Rhine Haus was. Whether it be a shower, party, campaign vents, and more."
"We have high hopes for this business and we are really excited to bring this sort of entertainment to the community," Arielle said.
Arielle and Micah told 21 News they've already received inquiries to book the event space.
The property that once housed Suzie's will be the live music venue and tapas bar, which Arielle described as "sophisticated appetizers."
A grand opening for this section is scheduled for October, but Arielle tells us no specific date has been planned for that yet.
Meanwhile, Arielle tells us the Rhine Haus section is open now and the business has partnered with Jazz In the Park After Dark to throw a launch party to generate community interest.
The launch party will be Sunday, August 13 at 7:00 p.m. Arielle and Micah spoke about their strategies to have a prosperous business in the area.
"We're just aware that we needed to kind of reach out to some people who have been in the restaurant business for a long time to kind of seek their guidance," Micah said. "So, we're asking them the questions of, 'What are the things you run into along the way?' 'What do you think made them be successful?"
Arielle says all three investors specialize in R&B and jazz music, so live entertainment will heavily focus on that once the live music venue opens. However, Arielle tells us all styles and genres of music are welcome.
