Charges against the suspect of a shooting on Youngstown's east side in late June have been dropped.

According to court employees, both felonious assault charges against 40-year-old Ellis Moody have been dropped due to the victim and witness in this case "refusing to cooperate" despite multiple attempts to have them do so.

Moody was the suspect in a shooting that occurred on Donation Avenue between Albert Street and North Garland Avenue in late June that left a male victim injured.

Police say the victim only suffered from minor injuries.

At this point, the reasons behind the two not cooperating are unknown it's unclear whether or not this case will be reopened.
