Bidding underway on 'Flock to the Fairgrounds' roosters

The Flock to the Fairgrounds public art project is in full swing, commemorating 175 years of Canfield Fair traditions, promoting the arts, and supporting the Canfield Fair Foundation. The project features six-foot-tall rooster sculptures that will be showcased in strategic public locations throughout the Mahoning Valley. Local artists have undertaken the task of transforming these roosters into unique masterpieces.

Art enthusiasts and supporters of the Canfield Fair Foundation have the opportunity to participate in the exciting bidding process.

The bidding, open now, will be conducted online until August 10th. Interested bidders can click here to access the online auction platform provided by George Roman Auctioneers. In addition to the virtual auction, simultaneous live bidding will occur at the Michael Kusalaba Fund of the Youngstown Foundation Event Center situated at the fairgrounds.

The Canfield Fair Foundation is dedicated to preserving and enhancing the heritage of the Canfield Fair while fostering artistic expression and community engagement. All proceeds from the Flock to the Fairgrounds project will directly contribute to supporting the foundation's mission.

Participants will have the chance to acquire these works of art, created with passion and skill by talented local artists. Whether attending the live event at the Canfield Fairgrounds or participating from the comfort of their homes, bidders can be part of this celebration of creativity.
