According to the release, Ohio Lt. Governor Jon Husted announced Monday that YSU will lead the partnership across the 18-county footprint for Team NEO.
The Northeast Ohio partners include Ashland University, Cleveland State University, North Central State College and a number of other institutions.
“Our collective goal is to promote and provide technical training and career readiness for individuals to thrive in fast-growing occupations like cell tower, fiber optics and broadband technicians, 5G engineers and support roles like sales and customer service,” Lindsey Ekstrand, Director of YSU’s IT Workforce Accelerator said.
