Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash involving a motorcycle just over the Trumbull County line in Windham Township Friday evening.

According to a press release, troopers were responding to a separate, minor crash when a second crash involving a motorcycle and a car occurred around 9 p.m.

Officers say a Toyota Highlander, operated by 32-year-old Michelle Tucker of Garrettsville was hit by a Kawasaki Ninja driven by Joshua Cottrill, 44, while backing out of a driveway onto State Route 82.

The Toyota was occupied by the driver, another adult and three juveniles. None of the occupants suffered injuries in the collision.

The operator of the Kawasaki became disengaged from the motorcycle after the collision and came to rest off the roadway. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet.

The crash is being investigated by the State Highway Patrol Ravenna Post.
