Farrell teen turns himself in for July 19th shooting on state line
A 16 year old male is in custody after turning himself in for a shooting that happened on the Ohio-PA state line in July.
According to Detective Sgt. Aaron Kasiewicz with the Brookfield Police Department, the teenager turned himself in on Thursday before he was transported to the Trumbull County Juvenile Justice Center.
Police from Brookfield and Sharon had been trying to figure out who wounded a man in a neighborhood along the state line on July 19th.
Witnesses told police that two men in a Jeep became involved in a confrontation with three men walking along the 800 block of North Stateline Road at around 7:30 pm.
According to a police report, one of the three men pulled a gun and shot one of the men from the Jeep. The three men ran away toward Sharon.
The victim, a 23-year-old man, was taken to Sharon Regional Hospital for a gunshot wound to the arm. He was later transferred to Mercy Hospital in Youngstown.
