One person is in the hospital Friday evening after an SUV collided with a home on Youngstown's West side, according to the Youngstown Fire Department.

Youngstown Fire also told 21 News that the driver had to be extracted from the vehicle by responders, who arrived to the scene near the intersection of Kirk and Glen Oaks around 7:15 Friday evening. 

Crews are still on scene and currently working to uncover the cause of the accident, and the condition of the driver is unknown. Two people were in the home at the time of the incident, but were not injured.

Fire crews also tell 21 News that a car in the driveway and a car in the garage were also damaged. As for the home, the extent of the damages will have to be assessed after the SUV is removed.
