Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley's 5K raises more than $15K

The Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley has raised $15,115 during its annual Point 5K on July 8 at White House Fruit Farm in Canfield.
The event featured a 0.5-kilometer run/walk and attracted more than 480 participants.
"We are overwhelmed by the generosity and enthusiasm of our community," said The Rescue Mission's Chief Development Officer Lynn Wyant. "The Point 5K is not only a fun and festive event, but also a vital fundraiser for our mission. Every dollar raised helps us provide shelter, food, clothing, and hope to those who are struggling in our valley. We thank everyone who joined us in this cause and made this event a success."
