The YMCA Board of Trustees has selected Beth Scheller as its next CEO. 

According to the YMCA, Scheller will begin her new role effective August 31.

Scheller has served various roles throughout the organization since 2003, most recently as the organization's chief operating officer. Her career spans more than 31 years in three different YMCA operations including Central Stark County and Lake County.

"I am honored, and it is my privilege to serve as CEO of the YMCA," Scheller said. "I look forward to working with the board, staff, and community to continue providing excellent programs and services throughout Mahoning County and the Youngstown area."

Scheller holds a Master of Science in Organizational Management and Leadership from Springfield College and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts from Malone University.

She is also certified as a YMCA Organizational Leader with YMCA of the USA, and a certified Praesidium Guardian in child abuse prevention.
