Youngstown Police have arrested a suspect after a search warrant uncovered multiple drugs at a home on the 40 block of Lakeview Avenue.

James Riley, 32, has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of drug possession of a schedule two substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with evidence.

According to a police report, officers conducted a search warrant on June 21. After announcing themselves and hearing no answer, they entered the building by force.

They found Riley trying to exit the house in the home's second floor bathroom.

Officers also found Ziplock baggies with 'white powder' residue, believed to be narcotics, next to the toilet. It was believed Riley was trying to flush the drugs down the toilet, according to reports.

A yellow back pack was next to the toilet which contained several more baggies filled with narcotics and drug paraphernalia.

During a search of the house, officers found marijuana, multiple bags of crack cocaine and fentanyl, ecstasy, oxycodone and mushrooms.

Riley will appear in the Youngstown Municipal Court Friday, June 23.
