A Youngstown man faces charges after a raid on a New Castle apartment turned up a gun, drugs, and an infant, according to the New Castle Narcotics Unit and the Lawrence County Drug Task Force Special Investigative Unit.
With a search warrant in hand, agents went to an apartment on Wednesday at 1136 Parkwood Court, which is in the Oak Leaf Gardens Apartment Complex.
In addition to the four adults inside, police say there was also a ten-month-old baby.
Upon entry into the residence, four adults were located and a 10-month-old baby. Hidden in the infant’s crib and diaper box were four baggies containing heroin, fentanyl, and cocaine, say police.
Agents say they also found suspected heroin in four other bags, a plastic container, and lottery tickets.
Confiscating marijuana and alprazolam tablets, police also say they found a 9 mm handgun, and a digital scale.
Detectives charged 23-year-old Vincent Hill of Youngstown with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Hill was taken to the county jail. The baby was turned over to Child Youth Services.
