Two suspects are in custody after Niles police found drugs, prescription narcotics, and an "obscene" amount of hypodermic needles, according to the Niles Police Department Facebook page.

Sarah Prater, 37, has been charged with receiving stolen property, while Jamichael Anderson, 34, has been charged with obstructing police business.

Anderson was also issued his warrant for being a parole absconder.

On June 8, one of this city's public safety cameras alerted police to a black Ford Fusion that was reported stolen to the Warren City Police Department the previous night.

An officer spotted the vehicle pulling into a West Park Avenue gas station and initiated a traffic stop. During the stop, officers arrested the driver of the vehicle, Prater, after becoming combative with the officer while the passenger, Anderson, began to flee on foot.

Once police detained Anderson, he was found to have a hypodermic needle in his possession.

During a search of the suspect's car, police said they found syringes and small containers suspected to be filled with fentanyl/heroine. Officers also found what they described as an "obscene" amount of hypodermic needles and multiple prescription narcotics.
