Two million dollar bond set for man suspected of murdering Sharon father of two

After four years on the run, a New Castle man has been brought back to Mercer County to face charges for his alleged part in the 2019 murder of a Sharon father of two.
Seon Perry, who was arrested last month in North Dakota, is now being held in the Mercer County Jail on a $2 million bond.
Perry appeared before a district magistrate on Friday to answer charges of criminal homicide, robbery, conspiracy, burglary, and cruelty to animals. He is scheduled for another hearing on June 26.
Perry’s arrest comes two years after authorities in Mercer County charged the 32-year-old New Castle man in connection with the May 23, 2019, murder of 24-year-old Khalil Hopson in Sharon.
Hopson was shot inside his Cedar Avenue home and later died at the hospital.

Two other people have already been sentenced in connection with the crime.
Alexis Holmes of New Castle is serving an 18-to-40-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to robbery and burglary.
Eddie Robinson Jr. of Youngstown was sentenced to 15 to 45 years in prison on charges of third-degree murder, animal cruelty, and perjury.
During the investigation, Alexis Holmes first told police she was on the porch of Hopson's home when they were approached by three males holding guns, claiming she heard a gunshot after one of the men held her at gunpoint on the porch, while another man followed Hopson into the house.
However, a further investigation by police uncovered a phone with text messages between Holmes and Robinson that showed them allegedly discussing plans to rob Hopson of several thousands of dollars.
