Local non-profit donating 'Bulldog Bucks' to East Palestine residents
A local non-profit is looking to brighten the days of East Palestine residents and business owners still recovering from the train derailment in February.
The non-profit, known as East Palestine Revitalization Inc has sent 10 "Bulldog Bucks" to every address in the 44413 zip code and they should be arriving in residents' mailboxes on Wednesday.
These "Bulldog Bucks" can be used the same as cash at over 25 local businesses in the East Palestine area, with that number expected to grow as word continues to spread.
The intent behind these bucks is to distribute the financial resources available through East Palestine Revitalization to keep the money in the villages economy to assist businesses that may still be struggling due to the derailment.
The non-profit hopes this campaign will be a success and allow for more Bulldog Bucks to be mailed out in the future.
