Howland driver flown to hospital after car crashes into Warren home
A 19-year-old woman from Howland was flown to a hospital with serious injuries after her car crashed into a home Warren.
Police say a Pontiac Gran Prix veered off a curve along Tod Ave. NW early Tuesday and ran into the corner of a duplex.
No one was injured in the home, but the driver and her male passenger were trapped in the wreckage of the car. Firefighters used a power tool to remove both occupants.
The driver was taken to Trumbull Regional Medical Center and later flown by medical helicopter to Mercy Hospital in Youngstown. Her condition was last reported as critical.
The male passenger was taken to St. Joseph Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say an open bottle of rum and an open can of vodka gin was found in the car.
